Thindiwia Bellamy
Program Director
Thindiwia Bellamy, Program Director at ISDD since 2022, oversees all program services and activities for Project GRANDD. In this role, she supervises data gathering for program evaluation, facilitates support groups, and manages social work case managers, program managers and volunteers. Bellamy is instrumental in providing education and training, overseeing the production of the Project GRANDD newsletter, resource emails, and social media posts. Coordinating educational sessions with guest trainers, she conducts outreach, advocacy, and presentations to the public. Bellamy, with over thirty years of social services experience, specializes in supporting at-risk individuals in the senior and disabled adult community. Her background includes administration and management of group homes and day programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
A graduate of the State University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Bellamy pursued advanced studies in Gerontology. Trained in conducting investigations of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation, she is also knowledgeable in Mandated Reporting, Trauma-based Care, Safe Sleep, Special Education Law, and 123 Magic facilitation. Holding a Certificate of Grandfamilies Leadership from the University of Maine, Bellamy is set to achieve certification in Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support from the National Family Support Network in 2024.
