Support Groups for Grandparents & Relatives Raising Children with Disabilities
Welcome to Project GRANDD (Grandparents and others Raising And Nurturing Dependents with Disabilities) – a supportive community dedicated to caregivers who step up selflessly. At ISDD, we understand the challenges and joys of raising children outside the foster care system, and we're here to provide guidance, encouragement, and a network of support.

Why Join Our Support Groups?
Our virtual and in-person support groups provide a safe space to share experiences, access expert guidance, and connect with a caring community of grandparents and other relative caregivers. We offer engaging workshops, opportunities to celebrate milestones, and a network of support that builds lifelong connections.
Virtual or In-Person - Choose What Works for You
Attend our support groups in the format that fits your lifestyle. Join virtually from the comfort of home or meet in person for a chance to connect face-to-face. See the sidebar for support group locations, times, and dates.
Support for Kids and Teens
We offer in-person support groups specifically for children and teen (Family Support Group), helping them connect with peers who share similar experiences. Kids teen support groups meet in the evenings in-person.
Childcare Services
For in-person evening meetings , we provide childcare for children under 8 years old, so you can focus on support and connection while your little ones are cared for.
Meals and Refreshments
Refreshments are served at all sessions, with a light dinner served at evening meetings to create comradery and enhance fellowship.
Transportation Assistance
We want to remove barriers to participation. A $5.00 transportation stipend is available to help cover travel costs.
If you're ready to connect with a supportive network of grandparents and other relative kinship caregivers, register today! Call 470-310-3458 or email shantellt@isdd-home.org to register to attend your first group. You can also RSVP online using the right sidebar to join the group you'd like to attend.
