For Project GRANDD (Grandparents Raising and Nurturing Dependents with Disabilities) families, the holiday season poses additional financial stress and hardship.
You can help.

GREAT PROJECT FOR GROUPS!

Would your church, company or community group like to Adopt a Family? Create a Team Drive on www.roonga.com/isdd2023, click on "Launch New Drive" button, select the families you'd like to adopt and invite your contacts to participate.

The grandparents in Project GRANDD could not have imagined they would be raising children again, let alone children with disabilities, chronic health conditions, learning or behavior disorders. Some of these grandparents are quite elderly or have health issues of their own.

Grandparents are usually thrust into this role unexpectedly, due to some traumatic event. Often the children have experienced neglect or abuse. Overnight, grandparents have to find a way to cope with the expenses of raising a child – especially one with health conditions – all on a fixed  income. Just providing the necessities can take everything you have. The holidays can be a very difficult time for grandparents raising a second family, particularly when their grandchildren have special needs.

It hurts when you know you can’t provide much of a celebration for your grandchild… especially after they have already lost so much. The Project GRANDD Adopt-a-Family Program lightens the load for vulnerable families at Christmas. We provide necessities like food and clothing as well as toys for the children and something nice for the grandparents - because they are always putting themselves last. We want them to know that they are cared about too.

YOU CAN HELP! It's easy, make a cash donation to Project GRANDD in support of the Holiday Program or adopt a family and receive a wish list to fulfill.  Just click on the button of your choice below! This is a great project for families or groups.

1. Donate

A tax-deductible contribution ($25, $50, $100 or $1,000)  helps grandfamilies with:

  • Children's holiday gifts

  • Winter clothing

  • Groceries

  • Diapers & baby supplies

  • Household necessities

  • Hardship expenses (utility & rent bills, etc.)

  • Transportation

2. Adopt a Family

Visit our page at www.roonga.com/isdd22 to read about and select families to help. All instructions are on this site.

Because of COVID-19, we are asking for gift cards only this year.  It will still seem like you are doing the shopping because the families have shared their needs and wishes. The only difference is you don't have to do the shopping!

PLEASE help a grandparent family this Holiday Season.

is the only caregiver program in Georgia providing supportive services to grandparents raising grandchildren with:

•chronic health conditions

• developmental disabilities

• learning and behavior disorders

With the support of donors like you, Project GRANDD reduces the emotional, economic, and physical stresses of rearing dependents with special needs.

Thank you for making a difference!
